What it is not
Why not just use an LMS
Because you are not the employer. Hosted training platforms bill the employer monthly, per seat, forever, and expect you to onboard your client's staff onto a system your client did not ask for. That is a fine product for someone running continuous induction in-house. It is the wrong shape for a consultant producing an evidence pack once, for a client, before an audit.
Concretely: the tools you would otherwise reach for here are Training Tiger, SC Training (SafetyCulture), Coursebox AI, Trainual and ProProfs Training Maker. They are good at what they do, and several of them will build a quiz from a document much as this does. But every one of them is a hosted, recurring subscription sold to the employer — the client signs up, the client's workers get accounts, and someone keeps paying every month after the audit is over. If you are the employer running continuous induction, buy one of those instead; you will be better served. Passmark is for the other job: you are the consultant, the engagement is finite, and what you owe your client is a file in an evidence pack — not a platform they have to keep renewing. How it works
- Pay $39. You get a private export link — no account, no password.
- Upload the policy, SOP or procedure (PDF, DOCX, TXT), or paste the text. Scans are fine — an image-only PDF is read as well as a digital one.
- Review the questions. Regenerate if you want a different cut — three runs included.
- Print the sheet, or send workers the online link and collect their scores.
Questions are generated by a language model from your document and are not reviewed by a human before you see them. Read them before you use them — that review is your professional judgement, and it is the point of selling this to you rather than to your client.
Common questions
Is Passmark accredited training?
No, and it never claims to be. Passmark is not a Registered Training Organisation and produces nothing ASQA or any equivalent regulator recognises. An export records that a named person read a named document on a named date and answered questions about it. Because nothing here is offered as accredited or nationally recognised training, using it does not require RTO registration — but what your client's own obligations are is a judgement for you and their regulator, not for us.
Will an ISO 9001 or WHS auditor accept this as evidence?
That is the auditor's call and yours, not ours. What the export gives you is a dated, sourced record that a named person read a named document and answered questions on it — one input to a competence argument, not the whole of it. Passmark makes no determination that anyone is competent, and says so on the export itself. You remain the professional responsible for how the evidence is used.
Are my client's documents stored, or used to train AI?
No to both. The document is held in memory only long enough to generate questions from it, then discarded. It is never written to a database, object store, log or backup, and it is not used to train anything. It is sent to our language-model provider (OpenRouter to Anthropic's Claude) for that one generation call and nothing else. See Privacy.
Is $39 per document or per client?
Per document. One payment buys one export link covering one policy, SOP or procedure. That link includes three generation runs, so you can re-cut the questions if the first pass is not what you wanted, without paying again. A second document is a second $39.
Is the price in Australian dollars? Is there GST?
$39 is US dollars. Your bank converts it at the rate on the day and may add its own foreign-transaction fee, so the figure on your statement will not be exactly $39 in AUD. No GST or sales tax is added at checkout. Stripe emails you an itemised receipt showing the amount, the date and the payment reference — that is the document to keep for your records. If your bookkeeping needs an invoice in a particular form, email hello@shovelware.ai before you buy and we will sort it out.
Can workers complete the check on a phone without an account?
Yes. You forward a share link, the worker enters their name and answers on their phone, and it is marked instantly. There is no login, no app and no account for them. Their name, score and time come back to you as a printable record. The answer key is never exposed to the worker — grading happens on the server.
What happens after 30 days?
The export link stops working and the generated questions and any completed checks are deleted. Print or download what you need before then — the printable sheet and the CSV are yours to keep. Your original document cannot be re-processed, because it was never stored in the first place.
